ORA-01523: cannot rename data file to ’string’ – file already part of database

Cause: During ALTER DATABASE RENAME or ALTER TABLESPACE RENAME, the new name of a file is already present in the control file. See the solution below.

Error solution: Rename the file to a name not already being used as part of the database.

Database version: Oracle 11g Release 2 (11.2)
