ORA-16194: Modifying DB_UNIQUE_NAME requires SID=’*’ qualifier

Cause: The setting for the DB_UNIQUE_NAME parameter must be exactly the same on all RAC instances so the SID='*' qualifier is required. See the solution below.

Error solution: Re-enter the command using the SID='*' qualifier.

Database version: Oracle 11g Release 2 (11.2)
