ORA-25008: no implicit conversion to LOB datatype in instead-of trigger

Cause: When inserting or updating a view using instead-of trigger, the new value for a LOB view column is of a different datatype. See the solution below.

Error solution: Specified a LOB value as the new value for the LOB view column.

Database version: Oracle 11g Release 2 (11.2)
